Intel’s Arc Graphics Launch Is About More Than Just The A770 And A750
Yesterday, Intel lifted its 3rd party independent review embargo on its highly-anticipated Arc Series A discrete graphics cards for PC gaming. Suffice it to say that, though Intel is obviously trailing the competitive performance curve versus current and next-gen high-end offerings, this launch marked a significant milestone for the company that’s sometimes affectionately referred to as “Chipzilla.” What’s also obvious is that Intel’s software driver team still has a lot of work to do, in terms of wringing out performance and squashing bugs. However, at the risk of sounding like excuse-making, I’d like to offer perhaps a different perspective on the lead-up to and execution of Intel’s Arc Alchemist launch.
