Cadence Unveils Millennium M1 Supercomputer For Multiphysics Acceleration

Numerous industries are reliant on complex computational fluid dynamics simulations when designing or optimizing their products. The automotive, aerospace and defense (A&D), energy, data center and turbomachinery industries – to name but a few – all heavily rely on digital twins and CFD simulations when designing and building everything from EVs to satellites to jet engines. To date, virtually all of the CFD and large eddy simulations (LES) required to optimally design products and devices in those markets have been performed on CPUs, with varying degrees of efficiency and performance.

Today, however, longtime electronic systems design and simulation leader, Cadence, unveiled its new Millennium M1 turnkey CFD supercomputer, which leverages both CPUs and GPUs and proprietary software technologies to significantly accelerate high-fidelity CFD simulations.
