Intel Arc A-Series Mobile Graphics Give Creators And Gamers Powerful New Options

It’s a big day for Intel, as the Silicon Valley computing legend has been on an over 4 year journey, or odyssey as they called it in the early days, to deliver its first discrete consumer graphics processor to market in decades. Though Intel had a couple of very short-lived forays in discrete graphics years ago, today marks a firm, heavily-resourced entrance into the market, taking on what some may consider a duopoly of chief rivals NVIDIA and AMD. And though Intel is preparing a full onslaught of discrete GPUs (Graphics Processing Units) this year, based on its scalable Arc Alchemist architecture that can address powerful desktop PC to mobile applications, the company is stepping out first with a low power offering for laptops. And this is a market segment where there’s a ton of volume demand and an excellent opportunity to enable the ecosystem with compelling new features.
