San Diego wireless communications leader, Qualcomm, is laying claim to the world’s first commercially available Wi-Fi 7 solution for a range of devices, from laptops and smartphones to tablets and AR/VR mixed reality headsets and more. Based on the Wi-Fi 7 standard, Qualcomm’s FastConnect 7800 will deliver peak speeds of 5.8Gbps and sub-2 millisecond latency, with High Band Simultaneous (HBS) Multi-Link technology for link aggregation, and a huge performance lift at half the latency of previous generation WiFi-6/6E solutions that top out at around 3Gbps. Qualcomm’s FastConnect 7800 wireless connectivity solution also supports the company’s new Dual Bluetooth and Snapdragon Sound technologies with advancements in power consumption, reduced connection times, increased range and simultaneous multi-device connectivity, for lossless CD quality audio when paired to Snapdragon Sound enabled devices.
